Questions about our computer vision platform

What is the difference between Sigma and Delta?

Delta is the edge runtime — it runs computer-vision models on a Jetson next to your cameras. Sigma is the cloud workspace your team uses to monitor every site. Delta produces the signal; Sigma is where you act on it.

Does video leave the premises?

No. Inference happens on the edge device. Only structured events — counts, dwell times, classifications — are sent to the cloud. Raw video never leaves the camera network, so privacy compliance is architectural rather than procedural.

Do I need to buy new cameras?

No. Delta integrates with existing RTSP / IP camera fleets. We deploy onto the infrastructure you already own — retail, councils, ports — without forklift upgrades.

Where is the data hosted?

In Azure australiaeast. Australian data sovereignty is where the platform runs today, not a roadmap item.

How is this different from cloud video analytics?

Conventional cloud analytics upload pixels to a datacentre for processing. BrinkByte processes at the edge and uploads only structured events, which cuts bandwidth, latency and privacy exposure at the same time.
